Dental Veneers

PERFECT YOUR SMILE

Dental veneers are a natural-looking, long-lasting way to transform the appearance and function of teeth that are damaged, discoloured or not quite the shape you would like. If you have chips, cracks, heavy staining, worn edges or small gaps between your teeth, veneers can be an excellent option for creating a more even, confident smile.

How does it work?

At Salford Dental Practice, we can use different materials such as porcelain, ceramic or composite veneers, depending on your needs, goals and budget. Veneers are slim, custom-made facings that sit on the front surface of the tooth. They can improve the colour, shape, size and overall alignment of one tooth or several teeth at once, giving you a brighter, more harmonious smile while still looking beautifully natural.

What to expect

The treatment process begins with careful planning. Your dentist will discuss what you would like to change about your smile and assess your teeth and gums to ensure veneers are the right option for you. To prepare the teeth, a very small amount of enamel is gently removed from the front surface. This allows the veneers to sit smoothly and at the correct thickness so they blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth rather than feeling bulky.

We then take precise impressions or digital scans, which are used to design and craft your custom veneers. Once they are ready, your dentist will check the fit, shape and shade with you before bonding them in place using a strong dental adhesive. Any final adjustments are made, and the veneers are polished so that they look and feel like natural teeth.

Cracks, chips and uneven edges can happen for many reasons, from everyday wear and certain foods and drinks to teeth grinding or sports injuries. If these imperfections are affecting your confidence, veneers can offer a predictable, long-term solution. With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, they can keep your smile looking bright, balanced and healthy for many years.
